What is the showcase?

At the end of the season, typically late October, there will be a showcase where each squad gets to showcase one routine. This is a very exciting event for the girls as they get to perform for a large audience and see the older squads show off their talents as well.

When will the first game be?

TBD. This schedule is typically released just before Labor Day and the first game is typically the week after that. Most games are on Saturdays at Newton Park, but there will occasionally be weeknight games at Glenbard South.

What other items do I need to purchase?

No additional items beyond the uniform need to be purchased. For game days, girls will need socks and gym shoes as well as shorts or pants under their uniform. As we get deeper into the fall, game days tend to be chilly and your girls will want to layer. In the upcoming weeks, lists with examples of coordinating items will be purchased, but, at this age, it’s more important that the girls be comfortable and confident than coordinating.

Additionally, in a few weeks, we’re expecting to have a cheer store which will contain additional Golden Eagles cheer gear that you may purchase if you’d like.
