Uniforms Pickup, Game Schedule, and Volunteer Requests
We had a coach's meeting last night and have some very exciting updates to share! Reminder that we have a practice this afternoon at SARC from 5-6 pm.
Uniform Pickup: Our uniforms are in and will be available for pickup tomorrow (8/15) and Friday (8/16) from 3:30-5:30 pm in the multipurpose room at SARC. There will be a contingency plan for anyone unable to pick up during that time, but I do not have those details yet.
Game Schedule: The first game this year will be a bit earlier than usual and will take place Saturday, August 24. There will be no games over Labor Day weekend, and our second game will be September 7. I will let you all know as soon as I have times available. The football games will last one hour and we will cheer at least until half time. All standard, Saturday games will be at Newton Park or Village Green Park (which many of you know as Rocket Park.) There will be no game on September 28, as we will be cheering in the Glenbard West Homecoming Parade.
Volunteer Requests: There are a few opportunities for anyone looking to help out at an organizational level. If you are interested in any of these, please let me know.
Showcase Chair: 2-3 parent volunteers are needed to organize our cheer showcase. This will likely take place in mid-October, though an exact date is still to be determined. Training will be provided.
Photographer: There will be no "official" photography sessions for the squads. We are looking for anyone with photography skills who is willing to volunteer their time to provide portraits and squad pictures for the families. Please note that volunteering for this does not mean volunteering for the entire Golden Eagles organization (though I'm certain that would also be appreciated!) If anyone is willing to do pictures of just our squad, we'd greatly appreciate it!
Social Media: The Golden Eagles Facebook Page could use some zhuzhing up. Anyone with social media skills who'd like to bring more life to this page would be a big help.
